GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. Following are the streams for GATE

Aerospace Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mathematics, Architecture and Planning, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Sciences, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science and Information Technology, Production and Industrial Engineering, Chemistry,  Textile Engineering and Fibre Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Life Sciences, Geology and Geophysics.

    Hey, I m from indore, n I m not getting any of gate books in my city, as I m left with only 2 months for gate 2018, so is it possible for me to study for the Xam by ordering books from your site, or else I should take drop n plan my studies for the next year???? Expecting a genuine reply, I m not in the condition to buy expensive book sets.

      Paridhi, one month careful study is sufficient for a good rank in GATE AR. Why we are saying this is that there is a concept of “Work expands with time”. Example: You have to submit a report in one month and you submit it in one month. If you were given two months, the quality of the report will remain exactly same.
      Coming to expensive books, we would suggest you to find a friend preparing for GATE so as to share book cost. Go for our 24 years Question Bank for Rs. 1649 which comes with 27 years GATE Numericals book as free offer on Instamojo.
      In any case, do not postpone for next year i.e. GATE 2019.

    A semi-circular stone arch of thickness 30cm is provided over an opening in a brick wall. The wall has length 3m and height 3m. The opening has span 1m and height 2m.

    A) the quality of stone work in the semi circular arch (in cu.m) = ?
    B) the quantity of brickwork in the wall (in cu.m) = ?

    Can anyone help me with the solution… the procedure?

    In the cut and fill question..wasn’t it given that the slope is along the longer side.? So the slope shud be along 40m side ryt. ?
